You can join in the live session, which usually starts at 7.30pm Singapore time (GMT+8hours) or you can view the recorded session afterwards in your own time. (The recording is edited and posted as an unlisted video on Youtube and all registrants receive the link.)
Do visit our shop (FEAST Online Store) where you will find details of the recordings of our previous webinars and I’m sure you will find some that are of great interest to you, which you can also pay to view (for $5 per webinar.)*Actually eight times to ten times a year, depends on the plan for the year.
FEAST Fest - The FEAST Festival 2021
Perhaps the biggest announcement we had was the introduction of a FEAST
Online Festival for 2021. While we are disheartened that we will be
unable to meet our members at the annual conference this year. All
things considered, we realise the need to take a safe and practical
approach. To Apply for the FEAST FEST click here.
Our first ever and successful Town Hall meeting was held on 22nd January 2021. The town hall is a space where we listen to the feedback from members, understand their suggestions and share the future plans of FEAST. It also helps reiterating the mission and vision of FEAST and making sure it aligns with the aspirations of our members as well.
Conference THE STORYTELLERS’ CONFERENCE
This is the highlight of our year (2018 Singapore; 2019 Bangalore; 2020 Jakarta( postponed due to COVID )). It’s two wonderful days packed full of enriching workshops, performances, story-swaps and the chance to make friends/reconnect with tellers who share your passion.
We have a grant to offer this year(2021) to
enable collaborations with traditional artists/ storytellers. Apply here
3 mentorship programmes for 2021 focussing on
SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS (SIG)
FEAST welcomed its first special interest group on 24th July 2020. Special Interest groups are a way to further enhance FEAST’s objectives of promoting and supporting storytellers. We
look forward to seeing other interest groups emerging in FEAST. If
there are at least 8 – 10 members keen to actively support the proposal,
then we believe the interest group is viable and it’s over to you.
FEAST Podcast (SIG) - The Story Wok
FEAST will release a pilot project podcast. This podcast - Story Wok will be produced by FEAST members with an Asian focus. The Story Wok will be released in March 2021 in conjunction “World Storytelling Day”.
